Laurence Zakson has practiced labor, employee benefits and election law exclusively since 1985. Mr. Zakson represents local unions in the entertainment, baking, transportation and construction industries, public employee locals, union- and Democratic Party-affiliated political committees, as well as SEIU- and Teamsters-affiliated multi-employer employee benefit funds and local union-sponsored charities and death benefit funds.
Prior to joining Reich Adell & Cvitan, Mr. Zakson was formerly a Senior Litigation Attorney, National Labor Relations Board, Appellate and Supreme Court Branches. While with the National Labor Relations Board, Mr. Zakson was a former President (CEO) and chief grievance officer of the National Labor Relations Board Professional Association, a public sector labor organization. Mr. Zakson was a judicial law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and for a U.S. Magistrate in the Northern District of California. Mr. Zakson also taught as an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University, School of Law.
